The Lager We've Been Waiting For

The phrase "European lager" carries some baggage--it tends to bring up images of stale, skunky beer abused by months spent at sea in hot shipping containers and on the warm floors of mega-wholesalers. We don't buy that stuff, but have to admit that it hasn't always been easy to find European lagers we do love.

Brewfist's La Bassa is all we could ask for. It is everything we want out of a style designed to be clean, refreshing, and crushable. It's lean but not thin, bitter but balanced, and satisfying from first sip to last thanks to beautifully-expressed aromatics from bready barley malt and floral Tradition hops. It's a perfect lager at a price that's as palatable as the beer itself. Check it out!

Now available in 330ml bottles & 30L KeyKegs.

Also available from Brewfist:

Caterpillar Rye Pale Ale 330ml bottles
Spaghetti Western (Prairie collab imperial stout!) 330ml bottles
Spaghetti Western GRAPPA barrel-aged edition 330ml bottles & 30L kegs.

Mikkeller Beer Geek Vanilla Shake

Mikkeller's "Beer Geek" series needs no introduction. Beer Geek Breakfast and Beer Geek Brunch are the beers perhaps most responsible for catapulting the Danish brewery onto the American craft beer scene. These beers continue to impress and the longevity of their popularity is a testament to their quality.

But Mikkeller is not the kind of brewery to sit around and ride the success of just a couple beers--no, this is a seriously prolific brewery. There have been years in which Mikkeller has released more than 200 new, unique beers. Their unending experimentation has resulted in some fantastic, memorable products, including--of course--variants within the famed "Beer Geek" series.

We've seen extra-rich versions, extra-strong variants, variants aged in bourbon, scotch, brandy, calvados, and port barrels, and variants infused with mint, cherry wine, citrus, tea, and nuts. One of our standout favorites, though, is the cult-favorite Beer Geek Vanilla Shake.

This is a rich, 13% ABV version of the "Beer Geek" oatmeal stout base, loaded with vanilla and coffee flavor to yield a dense, milkshake-like, ultra-decadent sipper. And it's available now in 330ml bottles and 20L kegs.

Also available:

Red Wine Barrel-Aged Skor
Skor is an well-made version of a beer style that's hard to get right: the Belgian strong dark ale. It's smooth, strong, and fruity, with dark malt richness working in harmony with bright yeast esters. This version of Skor is taken to the next level, having aged in red wine barrels for a stint to take on a vinous, berry-like character to complement the chocolatey, leathery, bready flavors in the base beer.
It's powerful, delicious stuff available in 375ml bottles now!

Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Apricot
Mikkeller's "Hallo Ich Bin" series of fruit-infused Berliner weisses have been hugely popular since they first rolled through our doors, and the newest variant, made with apricot, is one of our favorites yet! It has loads of juicy, ripe apricot flavor atop a lean, tart, citrusy, and grainy base.
Packaged for your refreshment in 500ml cans!

...and many more great beers from Mikkeller Denmark and San Diego!

Logsdon Classics New & Old, Now in Stock

Logsdon makes authentic farmhouse beers (yes, at an actual farmhouse!) that are packed with rustic yeast character and made with skill from high quality organic ingredients. Their products have charmed us since we tasted our first sips of Seizoen in the brewery's home state of Oregon and our love for Logsdon has never waned.

Over the years, it has been exciting to watch Logsdon develop into an adventurous, well-rounded brewery, releasing fun riffs on their year-round favorites and playing with ingredients like Szechuan peppercorns and amazing Oregon-grown fruit.

Some of our favorite Logsdon beers are in stock now--check it out!

Now Available:

Cerasus is a true cult classic beer, deeply loved by our customers since it was first introduced. It's a rich sour ale, made in the style of the Flanders red ales of Belgium and given an extra flavor boost with a huge addition of Oregon-grown sweet and tart cherries. Rich, tart, juicy, and delicious.
Available in 750ml bottles while supplies last.

The Conversion
The Conversion is a wild ale in the truest sense of the term. It begins its life like any other of Logsdon's rustic farmhouse ales, but it is exposed to the elements to inoculate it with the native organisms that surround the brewery. The fermentation that ensues yields a delightful beer, full of citrusy, bright, and stone-fruity aromatics and a snappy finishing acidity.
Available in 750ml bottles while supplies last.

Fresh Hop Seizoen
Fresh-hopped with several varieties of organic Oregon-grown hops, Fresh Hop Seizoen is a lovely refresher. It's bright, herbaceous, and zesty, with fresh citrus oil aromatics alongside a grassy earthiness and a complex fermentation profile.

Now available in 750ml bottles.

Oak-Aged Bretta
Oak-Aged Bretta takes the brewery's iconic Seizoen Bretta and kicks it up a notch. This version is aged on oak, which softens the beer a bit and brings some vanilla and smoky notes to the party.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Packed with yeast character. Apple and pear esters explode amidst flavors of peppercorn, strawberry, and a mellow underlying earthiness.
Now available in 375ml bottles.

Szech 'n' Brett
Szech 'n' Brett is a Lime Ventures favorite--a Brettanomyces-fermented saison subtly-spiced with Szechuan peppercorn. Super complex and like nothing else out there.

Back in Stock from Anchorage:
Anadromous & Darkest Hour

Anchorage Brewing Company is perhaps most famous for their elegant and bright saisons, witbiers, and pale sour ales, but they are masters of the darker, richer styles as well. There's only one problem--we can't always get 'em! Their dark sour ales, imperial stouts, and barleywines are huge in both size and deliciousness, but we often find ourselves wanting more than we can get.

We recently had the exciting opportunity to grab some of these special beers, so we snatched up what we could. And as a bonus, we were able to grab some Galaxy IPA kegs as well! Check it out:

Now Available:

Anadromous is an intriguing beer unlike anything else in our portfolio. It defies classification, black in color but sour and lively. It has deep complexity, thanks in part to it going through three separate fermentations, in French oak foudres, pinot noir barrels, and whiskey casks. The result is a stunning beer: dense and strong but layered and elegant. Cohesively sour, fruity, earthy, and roasty.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Darkest Hour
Darkest Hour is a similarly dark, but but wildly different beer. It's the rare Anchorage beer that does not prominently feature Brettanomyces, proving that Gabe and his crew can do anything well. It's a big (really big!) imperial stout fermented with Belgian yeast before aging in an array of used spirits and wine barrels. A mega rich, 13% ABV masterpiece.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Galaxy IPA
Galaxy IPA is a white IPA brewed with Galaxy hops, peppercorns, kumquats, and coriander before fermenting in oak vats with Belgian witbier yeast and Brettanomyces. Bitter, dry, and phenolic, this is a punchy and satisfying drink.
Now available in 1/6bbl kegs.

Also available from Anchorage in 750ml bottles:
AK Alive
Bitter Monk
Calabaza Boreal
Farmhouse Invastion
Love Buzz
Mosaic Saison
Rondy Brew
Tide & Its Takers Tripel
Whiteout Wit
A Taste of California's Central Coast

A Taste of California's Central Coast

We have a pretty broad range of breweries represented in our portfolio here at Lime, but none of them are quite like the Libertine Brewing Company. This is a brewery approaching beermaking with a truly fresh perspective, producing unusual beers that are totally delicious.

Each of these beers is aged in oak barrels after spending time in both an open coolship and in large oak puncheons. Each is expressive of the zymagical capabilities of the native yeast and bacteria populations of the brewery's home on California's Central Coast. Each is tart, complex, and satisfying. Some have their roots in very old traditions, while others are completely modern creations, but each offers a delightful taste of this region's unique terroir.

We recently reloaded our supply of the brewery's year-round staples and several newer beers, featured below. Check 'em out!

Now Available:

1234 Broad Street
A malty but dry biere de garde with the Libertine's signature tart 'n' funky fermentation character. Gently fruity and deeply complex.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Aubree Rye Saison
A tropical and zesty saison with an underlying rye spiciness. Earthy, fruity, and layered.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Central Coast Saison
A dry, sour, and deeply funky saison, with loads of earthy and bright aromatics. Like nothing else out there!
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Edna Table Saison
A zesty, heavily-dry hopped sour saison at just 4% ABV. Absolutely loaded with delicate floral aromatics and melon and citrus-like fruitiness. Major refreshment!
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Pacific Ocean Blue Gose
Made with local seawater (yes, really), Pacific Ocean Blue Gose is a briny, tart, and satisfying example of one of our favorite styles. Juicy and approachable.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Saison Fonce
A dark, roasty saison aged in oak barrels. Malty and gently sour with berrylike and chocolatey aromatics.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

Wild IPA
Not your typical IPA! This stuff is very heavily dry-hopped and marked with the signature funky aromatics that make the Libertine the Libertine. Citrusy, floral, and endlessly complex.
Now available in 750ml bottles & 1/6bbl kegs.
