Introducing: Wildcraft Cider Works

Eugene, Oregon is a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains, wild greenery, and the majestic Willamette River. It's easy to see how the folks at Wildcraft Cider Works would be inspired by it.

This is a cidery making real, seasonal ciders entirely from whole fruit. They appreciate the beauty of their hometown and do what they can to bottle it up for you, exclusively using locally-grown fruit and other ingredients. In some cases, we're talking SUPER local--one of the ciders they've sent us uses fruit grown within 10 miles of their facility. Their ciders are fermented only with native yeast and are unpasteurized.

These are really interesting ciders that are truly expressive of the place where they're born and we're excited to be working with them for the first time. Welcome, Wildcraft!

Now available:

Pioneer Perry
Oregon's official state fruit is the pear, and Pioneer Perry showcases it in all its glory. This is a perry made up of a mix of both wild and cultivated pears to create a drink that is off-dry and rich with huge aromatics, but remains drinkable and satisfying.

Wild Rose
Wild Rose is a truly unusual cider made with whole foraged wild roses, cold-infused into a base of ultra-complex, blended, wild fermented cider. Fresh, floral, and bright with huge aromatics.

Mon Dieu!

Montreal's Dieu du Ciel! is a brewery with impressive range. While they are perhaps best known for their brilliant stouts, Péché Mortel and Aphrodite, you're sure to find something you'll love across their entire portfolio, from their takes on classic beers like the Belgian strong dark ale to more modern style-busters.

Lucky for you, we've got both their famous stouts and a wide selection of their thrilling "others" available now. Check it out!

Faction Bottles are Here!!

Your eyes do not deceive you. That image up there is a label for a bottled Faction beer. This is a day we've dreamed about since we first partnered up with Rodger, Claudia and the rest of the Faction crew. For the first time, you can pop a Faction beer into your fridge and not have to squeeze your eggs and milk in with several cubic feet of stainless steel.

It's an exciting time, made more exciting by the fact that Faction has bottled up four or their tastiest beers and done so in versatile 500ml bottles that work well as a single serving or as a share-able. We're beyond happy to be bringing you bottles of Alameda's finest for the first time. Check 'em out:

Now available:

Flagship Pale
The introduction of Faction's Pale Ale quickly established them as masters of the pale, hoppy ale. It's a stellar example of the modern American version of the style--lean and drinkable, loaded with explosive aromatics from Simcoe, Mosaic, and CTZ hops. It's punchy and pungent and perfect.
94 on RateBeer!
Now available in 500ml bottles (and kegs!)

Imperial Stout
A smooth, complex imperial stout that doesn't go completely over-the-top at 8.5% ABV. Expect layered flavors of dates, plums, and very dark chocolate with a licoricey finishing bite.
Now available in 500ml bottles.

Penske File
Penske File is another pale ale, this time featuring the bright, juicy tones of Mosaic and Equinox hops in harmony. Perfectly balanced and crazy crushable.
Now available in 500ml bottles.

Spring IPA
Faction's Spring seasonal IPA has just been released, also featuring the delicious one-two punch of Mosaic and Equinox. This beer is a bit bigger, weighing in at 6.8% ABV, with a little more heft behind the wall of hoppy goodness. A delight!
Now available in 500ml bottles.

Back in Stock: All Things Crux

It's not every day you come across a brewery that is equally adept at making bold, rich dark ales, beautifully fermented sour ales, hoppy beers with elegance, and solid, reliable lagered crushers.

But our friends at Crux are really good at making beer. We're reminded of that every time we pop one of their cans or take a swig off a pint. So when a shipment with pallets full of freshly-packaged beers from our favorite Benders (is that what they're called?) rolls through our door, we get excited.

We're excited. A shipment of Crux's finest has been received and it's ready for your ordering pleasure now. Check it out!

Now available:

Better Off Red
Better Off Red is a brilliant interpretation of the Flanders red style, made in true Crux fashion. It's a rich Belgian red ale that rests with an array of microflora inside Willamette Valley pinot noir barrels to take on a complex fermentation profile and serious depth of flavor. Malty, layered, tart and beguiling.

Now available in 500ml bottles.

Cast Out
Cast Out is a brilliant IPA abundantly hopped with Australian Galaxy hops for juicy, tropical, floral aromatics in bounds. Delicious, hop-forward, PNW IPA goodness, now in cans!
94 on RateBeer!
Now available in 12oz cans & 1/6bbl kegs.

Gimme Mo
Crux's newest canned IPA comes with a tagline: "not just another IPA"--it's designed to stand out from the pack. It's lower alcohol (about 6%), well-rounded, and aromatic from Mosaic and Citra hops. Smooth and tropical and extra crushable.
Now available in 12oz cans & 1/6bbl kegs.

Half Hitch
Half Hitch offers an even bolder IPA experience--it's a big double IPA with even mo' Mosaic. At 10% ABV, it's shockingly drinkable, with huge flavors of peach, guava, and citrus. A modern classic!
98 on RateBeer!
Now available in 500ml bottles & 1/6bbl kegs.

PCT Porter
Named for (and benefitting!) the legendary Pacific Crest Trail, PCT Porter is Crux's newest foray into the less-hoppy realm. It's a dry, super-drinkable everyday porter with a satisfying roasty edge.
Now available in 1/6bbl kegs.

Pilz
Our camping trips and beachside lounging have not been the same since Crux started sending us Pilz in cans. It's a fantastic beer with crackery malts and floral European hop aromatics in perfect balance.

Now available in 12oz cans & 1/6bbl kegs.

Stout
Crux's aptly-named stout, Stout, is everything you want from the style. It's rich and complex with layers upon layers of malty goodness brought on by a recipe that includes chocolate, roasted, and dark crystal malts.

New Collabs from Jolly Pumpkin!

New Collabs from Jolly Pumpkin!

Few breweries do collaborations as well as Jolly Pumpkin. They seem to have a knack for neatly marrying their own brewing style with that of their collaborators, resulting in a product that represents the best each brewer has to offer. Oh, and it helps Ron has some pretty talented friends, too.

We're always excited when a Jolly Pumpkin collaboration rolls through our doors, and we've just received three (!) new ones that we're happy to share with you. They're excellent beers, made with friends new and old. Check 'em out!

Now available:

Apocolocynposis
Apocolocynposis represents the second collaboration between Jolly Pumpkin and Monkish, the follow-up to the excellent (and equally-unpronounceable) Cucurbitophobia. This time around, Ron and Henry have come up with a brilliant flaked oat ale tinged with lime and blackberry. Lush, bright, and beautiful.
Now available in 750ml bottles & 1/6bbl kegs.

Smashed, Grabbed, & Hop Dusted
Smashed, Grabbed, and Hop Dusted is the product of a collaboration with Seattle's Holy Mountain Brewing, made in honor of the latter's second anniversary. It's a delicious, heavily-hopped IPA brewed with Citra, Crystal, Simcoe and Southern Cross hops and aged for seven months in oak. It perfectly highlights what each of these great breweries does best.
Now available in 750ml bottles & 1/6bbl kegs.

Sobrehumano Palena 'Ole
Lastly, we've got Sobrehumano Palena 'Ole, an old favorite made in collaboration with Hawaii's Maui Brewing Company, returning after a five year absence. It's a barrel-aged sour ale (of course) that represents each brewery's home state, thanks to the inclusion of Michigan cherries and Hawaiian liliko'i. Dark, complex, tropical, and well-balanced.
Now available in 750ml bottles & 1/6bbl kegs.
