Brilliant New Beers from E9 & Gigantic

We've just received a load of beers that have put us in a particularly "Pacific Northwest" kind of mood. We've got the Vedder blasting on the stereo, we're drinking even more coffee than usual, and we're sweating through flannel on these unseasonably warm winter days.  Completing the picture is our glassware, which is full of beers from our pals at E9and Gigantic, who have just sent us loads that contain tons of exciting new beers. Check 'em out!

Now available from Gigantic:

Gigantic End of Reason
A rich, malt-driven beer inspired by the Belgian strong dark ales produced at Trappist monasteries. Toffee, chocolate, dark fruit, and clove-like aromatics in bounds. Strong, complex, and satisfying.
Now available in 22oz bottles and 1/6bbl & 1/2bbl kegs.

Gigantic Pipewrench
Pipewrench is a beautiful example of a rarely-seen style: the barrel-aged IPA. This version spends three months aging in Ransom Old Tom gin barrels, lending the beer an array of botanical aromatics that meld seamlessly with the bright hop character of the base beer. Herbaceous, citrusy, spicy, and lightly oaky. A real gem!
Now available in 22oz bottles and 1/6bbl kegs.

Gigantic Scrilla
Scrilla is a lovely pale ale with huge hop aromatics from a generous dose of Crystal, Citra, Simcoe, and Magnum hops. Refreshing and bright with "huge fresh squeezed citrus hop aroma and flavor." A Gigantic classic!
Now available in 22oz bottles and 1/6bbl & 1/2bbl kegs.

Also just in from Gigantic:
Gigantic IPA 1/2bbl
Ginormous 12x22oz
Kolschtastic 12x22oz & 1/2bbl

Now available from E9:

E9 Amour Aux Myrtilles
Also known as "Blueberry Love," Amour Aux Myrtilles is a barrel-aged sour ale brewed with loads of blueberries. It's funky, tart, complex, and deeply purple, with a lovely earthiness from the fruit and the yeast used for fermentation.
Now available in 375ml bottles.

E9 Beersel Dreamin'
Beersel Dreamin' is a gently funky pale ale with eminent drinkability. A beautiful balance of maltiness, hop character, and E9's signature fermentation profile. Crushable, food-friendly stuff!
Now available in 750ml bottles.

E9 Carice
Carice gets its bright red color and funky fruitiness from a generous dose of red currants, which nicely complement the bold base beer, a barrel-aged dubbel that weighs in at 9.9% ABV. Juicy and tart, with lovely lush fruit character.
Now available in 375ml bottles.

E9 Catharsis
Catharsis is a beautiful barrel-aged saison driven in aromatics by the influence of Saaz and Kohatu hops, a New Zealand variety known for its intense tropical fruit character. Elegant and powerful.
Now available in 750ml bottles.

E9 Dark Passenger
Dark Passenger represents a rare foray into the world of imperial stouts for E9. Of course, it has their trademark funk to it, with a soft underlying fermentation-born earthiness. Super rich, chocolatey, and roasty.
Now available in 20L Dolium kegs.

E9 Frambuesa Moka
A strong tart ale built around the classic marriage of raspberries and chocolate. Dark and strong, with loads of chocolatey malt character underpinning explosive raspberry aromatics.
Now available in 375ml bottles.

E9 Hilltop Wild
Hilltop Wild is a mixed-culture blended blond ale with loads of stone fruit aroma and a gentle hop character from the wine-like Hallertau Blanc hop. Delicate, light, and tart.
Now available in 20L Dolium kegs.

E9 Le Perelin
Le Perelin begins life as a simple saison before aging in a mix of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir barrels, which give the beer a layered complexity and vinous acidity. Dry hopped with Pilgrim hops!
Now available in 20L Dolium kegs.

E9 Le Visiteur
Le Visiteur is an American wild ale brewed with blackberries and nectarberries before being barrel fermented with a mixed culture. It was blended with Jordan Keeper of Brasserie Trois Dames and is focused on fruit character, with a bunch of rich berry aromatics and a deeeeeeep purple color.
Now available in 375ml bottles.

E9 Sweetheart Aria
At 11.3% ABV, Sweetheart Aria is one of the strongest beers we've ever seen from E9. It's based on a powerful Belgian tripel base, fortified with Sweetheart cherries during an aging stint in Chardonnay barrels. Intensely delicious!
Now available in 375ml bottles.

E9 Table Hop Batch 1
E9 is famous for making elegant, low-alcohol beers with lovely hop character and Brett fermentations. Table Hop Batch 1 represents all of that in one package: it's tart, Bretty, and has yeast phenolics and hop character interacting in perfect harmony.
Now available in 20L Dolium kegs.

E9 The Duel Wild Ale
The Duel in question here is that between the Bing cherries and red raspberries used in the production of this beer: it's up to you to figure out which wins out. The brewery describes this one as a "fruit bomb," and we're inclined to agree. It's just bursting with fruit flavor atop a tart, lightly funky base that was aged 1-3 years in barrels. So good!
Now available in 375ml bottles.
