Imported by our good friend Christian Gregory of Drie Fonteinen & Wildkollektief via introduction by Shaun Hill of Hill Farmstead, we are excited to introduce you to Artesano Vintners. Founded in 2016 with the goal of producing quality, natural, and organic small-batch artisanal wine founders Mike Shepherd and Alex Craighead sought to create wine from the amazing terroir and grape varieties they had experienced in Catalunya, Spain.

All of their wines are “minimum intervention” or natural wine. This is much different from organic wine, as organic wine can be made just from organic grapes, then have all sorts of additives added during the winemaking process. When Artesano Vintners produce wine, the grapes are certified organic, they are hand harvested, and then crushed and pressed/fermented using wild yeasts. No additives are used in any part of the process, these wines are just grapes.
