Cold Hand Winery
Cold Hand started by a most fortunate accident: Former school principal Jens Skovgaard accidentally froze some apple juice in his freezer and enjoyed the concentrated flavor of the resultant rich liquid so much that he was instantly inspired to create his own homemade wines. Growing most of his own fruit (rhubarb, apples, plums and more) on Funen Island in southern Denmark, Jens believes that the quality of fruit is paramount to the quality of his wines. Boy did he hit the nail on the head! This attention to quality and hands on approach made Cold Hand Winery one of the most sought after and “nerded out” over in his native country of Denmark and the US has been quickly following suit!
